We have been working to follow continuing standards and guidance. We will be following all retail guidelines set forth by the state. Including but not limited to, employee temperature checks and health screenings before each shift, protective face coverings for Employees, Consignors & Shoppers, altered store layout to allow for social distancing, increased cleaning and sanitation, and more.
We are making adjustments to create social distance for our Consignors at Check In and increase the safety to our Employees and Consignors during the check in process. We will have TWO options for Consignors to bring items to our upcoming event: 1. Drop & Go We have offered Drop & Go at a couple previous sales for a few hours in the evening of one day. We will be expanding this option with multiple appointment options! With this option we do REQUIRE that all items are designated as Donations and the labels will have stars on the barcode label when applied to the tag. All of the items must have a string tag with the barcode label affixed to the item prior to dropping off at your appointment time. And because we receive your items and do not check them against your inventory sheet we are unable to guarantee your items. We will treat your items with care and place all items received in the store for you and we will mail your check at the conclusion of the sale. 2. Consignor Check In Appointments. We will be requiring Consignors to sign up for an appointment if they choose to personally check in their items at the sale location. We will REQUIRE all items to be labeled with the barcode labels and string tags prior to Consignors arriving at their appointment. We will have times available inside and outside our sale location and we will have times designated for immunocompromised consignors.
We LOVE our Rhea Lana kids and families and we want everyone that shops at our sale to be safe and socially distant, therefore we will not be allowing any children 12 years of age or younger to be at the sale. We request that you leave your children with a sitter or relative and come enjoy your shopping experience in an efficient manner. We hope that shoppers will be able to travel through our store and complete their shopping within 2 hour time increments. We want to have as many opportunities as possible available to as many families as possible, especially during these difficult times. We are currently bound by capacity limitations and we are going to allow the option to bring a "Plus ONE" when you shop but the plus one would consist of your spouse, parent, relative, friend OR child aged 13 or older. We apologize for any inconvenience this may pose to your family but we will be monitoring and enforcing this at our entrance.
New this sale we will have special shopping times for our Healthcare Heroes, Teachers, and Service Men & Women in all branches. Check out our Schedule for more details. Consignors, would you like to shop earlier than the time on your Pre-Sale shopping pass? As you are entering your items, choose to Discount (50% off) ALL and Donate ALL your unsold items at the end of the event. Donations will go directly to local foster families and local charities that directly help families in and around our community. Our experience has been that when a consignor chooses to mark items to be discounted for 25% off mid-week and then 50% off toward the end of the event, the Consignor ultimately sells more and earns more! When you choose to Discount and Donate ALL items, we will Bump your Pre-Sale shopping time by an entire hour earlier
We wanted to highlight changes we made to our no longer accepted list. We may re-evaluate this list after the current COVID-19 pandemic is over. For now: We will NOT be accepting Breast pumps. We will NOT be accepting afghans, large blankets, comforters, full, queen or king size bedding. We will NOT be accepting sleeping bags. We WILL allow crib and twin bedding sets. We WILL accept infant receiving and swaddle blankets and children's blankets. We prefer all blankets be hung on large hangers, folded over the base and pinned on the side to allow shoppers to view the items easily. We will NOT be accepting plush toys at this time. This means we will NOT accept stuffed animals of any kind including Licensed plush, Build a Bear or any other plush animal or item. We WILL accept BATTERY powered items such as learning bears or FurReal friends and similar items. Please limit infant rattles, plush toys and lovies to items that are easily washed and we prefer they are packaged in plastic bags.
When you consign with Rhea Lana of Schaumburg events you can consign with confidence. Knowing that your items are guaranteed during our sale. You can choose your own prices, earn 60%, and a $11 Consignor fee is taken directly out of your check. We want you to have a great sale. We pride ourselves on our Consignor support. We offer a Consignor Club on FACEBOOK to help our Consignors stay in the know.
